Educational Visit of III Semester Students to the Polyhouse at Imampur (Ajeet Seeds Farm)

The III Semester students visited the Polyhouse at Imampur (Ajeet Seeds Farm) as part of their educational programme. During the visit, the students observed the cultivation of cucumber and capsicum under controlled conditions and received detailed information on crop production practices, including planting, irrigation, nutrient management, and overall crop care. Dr. Surendra Deshmukh explained the structure and functioning of the polyhouse, highlighting its advantages in enhancing crop growth and productivity. He also demonstrated the polyhouse automation system imported from Israel and explained its role in efficient crop management. In addition, the students were introduced to the rainwater harvesting system, in which water collected from the polyhouse catchment area is stored in a farm pond for efficient water management.
